Playing for Change: Peace Through Music
I connected up to this through a PBS special of the same name that all began with an idea to do a video on how music unites us throughout the world. Stand By Me, was the beginning of this life focus now for Mark Johnson (who has partnered up with Jonathan Walls). I’m sure many of you have seen that video, but if you have not, or if you just love how it makes you feel to watch it, here it is for you, along with 2 other selections now from Playing for Change. The PBS program was so inspiring to me that I couldn’t turn it off. If you want to lift your spirits, do your heart good, and remind yourself of the truth of who we are, Watch It, Please!
The two creators of this phenomenal DVD have been so moved by all the people they have met that they have begun the Playing for Change Foundation to build music schools. The first school was recently completed in South Africa!
